Supported Employment Program
Gateway to the Arctic Camp is dedicated to building an inclusive workforce to support camp operations. We offer competitive opportunities and pay. Our supported employment program provides additional assistance to employees who experience disabilities to ensure an environment in which all our employees can be confident in who they are and what they are capable of.
Provide jobs in the community, working alongside peers who do not have disabilities
Identify where each employee is on our model and develop a plan of progression
Provide on-the-job training that encompasses EQ, IQ, SQ & motor skill training
Provide ongoing support based upon the individual employee’s needs, such as graduating the employee from our program and assisting him in acquiring another job

We are looking for employees that have experience in, or a desire to receive training in, the following skills:
Facility maintenance and repair
New construction — carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
Agriculture — gardening, crop management, birch syrup production, animal management, etc.
Camp programming and design
Small engine operation and repair
Volunteer management and administration
While employees arrive with various skill sets, our goal is to work together to develop new levels of skill acquirement and confidence in all tasks and responsibilities.

G2A partners with Nadon Family Home, an organization that provides services for individuals who experience disabilities. Nadon Family Home provides job coaching services to our eligible special needs employees. Job coaches work 1-on-1 or in small groups to provide high-quality support that promotes confidence and independence for all special needs employees.
